This shoe encompasses all of the original features of Dr. Martens' tassle loafer from the early 1980s. The rest of the collection continues to replicate directly the very first shoes and boots to roll off the production line on 1 April 1960.
DM cobblers at the original factory in Wollaston, Northamptonshire, England, handcraft these styles.

The products feature narrower horizontal tread bars, criss-crossed coring bars, a darker shade of PVC and a storm welt, bound together on the lateral side. There are small indentations left on the welt by the original stitching machine. There is no top collar binding and there are runs into the eye stay above the top eyelet - all tastefully finished on the original '59' DM last - for that truly authentic finish.
